My guess would be that the average age is around 45, but keep in mind we have guys 35-70, all with different skill levels. Check the rosters you may know some of the guys. Its a very well organized fun league, with stats, refs, playoffs and a banquet at the end of the season. Feel free to check out the website at leohockey.net, or come out one night and introduce yourself. There is always a handful of guys hanging around before and after the games.

What is the average age of the players? I may come have a look. I am currently playing on an over 35 team that is affiliated with CARHA. We play around 40-50 games a year against different teams, we have referees but no standings are kept. Skill level varies but I may be looking for somewhere else to play as I am getting (or already am) one of the team elders.

the minimum age is 35, and the skill level varies. Feel fee to come out to Argyle arena and introduce yourself on a Sunday night. You can see if the skill level is within your comfort level.

We received this update on Lenny Kolkman from Trevor Erb this morning:
Lenny is still resting well. He has a breathing tube, that should be coming out tomorrow, when they wake him up fully. That's all there is for now. We will see how he is when he wakes up. Dori says that she hopes that he forgot he smoked.

What I don't understand is the bitching at the refs at the end of the game like they can get the ref to change the outcome of the game afterwards. Don Dixon is at all the games take your complaints to him he will check into it if he see's a problem it will get looked into so shake hands and get off the ice for the next game Thanks

Yelling at the referee, what does it really get you?
We play in a Sunday league once per week, but some of us expect to get NHL refereeing at our level, come on is this really going to happen, I don't think we as a league can afford it.
The referees do a good job, in fact they put up with a lot of abuse from players that think they are not doing a good job because they may have missed a call.
You have to ask yourself how you would feel if you shot wide, missed a save, or made a bad pass, and the referee yelled at you for playing so bad, I bet you would not like it.
After many years of hockey if you did not learn that referee abuse hurts the individual, and the team, then we may be stuck at one win for a while.
The referees are human just like the players, if you believe that they are not allowed to error, think again.

Yes your birthdate can be changed to just the year. The age is calculated by the day, month and year. If there is no date or (day month) the age will show 35+. Please send me an email so I know which Mike.
